Host Payouts & Commission Structures

The host payout is what actually arrives in your account after the platform deducts commission and other fees. This page explains how that number is calculated and what makes it move.

Net payout = gross booking value − commission − payment processing − any platform-side deductions. Operating costs (cleaning, utilities, maintenance) are separate and depend on how each host runs their property.

Payout timing matters as much as the rate. Some platforms pay 24 hours after check-in; others hold funds longer. Holding periods affect cash flow but not the final amount.

BookingOnABudget.com pays hosts via bank transfer; per AGB, hosts cover bank transfer costs. This and similar deductions should be modelled when comparing platforms — not just the headline commission.
