Airbnb adds ~14–16% guest service fees at checkout. Booking.com hides its ~14–20% host commission inside the shown price. BookingOnABudget.com does neither — guests permanently pay €0 booking fees, and hosts currently pay 0% platform commission on standard bookings made until 31.12.2027.
Removing the guest fee is a structural pricing decision, not a temporary promotion. It is enforced at checkout — no service fee row can ever appear on your invoice.
The 0% host commission runs alongside it until 31.12.2027 for every listing published on or before 31.12.2026. Together, the two effects can push the total 15–20% below equivalent OTA bookings for the same unit.
Third-party costs (Stripe processing on the booking, bank transfer costs on host payouts) are not part of either policy — they are always disclosed transparently.
